Hard Shank (Three-Quarter)
Made of Texon, cardboard fiber 2.5, and leather, the La Pointe Square Hard shank supports a malleable arch with stretched ligaments. For the best support for this type of arch, a hard shank will provide the most significant support. In addition, the shank must conform to the foot’s arch. A three-quarter cut shank provides the utmost contact to the arch for maximum support while “en pointe.”

Learn moreThe Roman foot is an ideal foot shape for pointe work, as the first three toes are of equal length and have the most contact with the internal platform of the pointe shoe. Additionally, the external platform of the La Pointe – Square offers the broadest platform of all Wear Moi pointe shoes. A broad platform provides the greatest feeling of security while en pointe. The cut of a U shape throat mimics the lines of the square box and is often the choice of dancers worldwide. It contains a cotton drawstring encased in a cotton binding. The construction of La Pointe - Square is in the turned method and offers pleats on the bottom front of the shoe and contains a standard crown height with traditional side and heel measurements. A reinforced platform extends the longevity of this pointe shoe. An embossed leather outsole marked with a decorative design, including the size, width, and shank strength, provides traction. La Pointe - Square is available with pre-stitched, high-quality satin or cotton ribbons free of charge. La Pointe's - Square sizing follows the UK sizing system.

These actually were a pretty shoe, but the vamp was not deep enough for my daughters foot. However if they were offered with a deeper vamp, I would definitely order them again because the shape, color and general design were nice.
