Christophe and Elisabeth meet at the Ballet Monte-Carlo. This complicity on stage gave birth to a beautiful story of life together.

1991

Christophe participates in a choreographic workshop, organized by Monte Carlo Ballet, where he designs costumes. Six months later, during a tour with the company in Asia, he purchases his first sewing machine and begins to make outfits for Elisabeth.

1992

Christophe retires from dancing to concentrate solely on creating dance garments under the name Wear Moi.

1995

The first Wear Moi catalog is printed.

1995

Wear Moi manufactures costumes for several shows in London (Holiday on Ice, Chicago, Saturday Night Fever, Madame Tussauds, Disneyland Paris…).

1996

Wear Moi fulfills its first sales in Japan.

1997

Encouraged by the success of the first collection, Wear Moi launches its second collection composed over two material, tone on tone outfits.

1998

Wear Moi creates its first Warm Up collection in polar fleece.

1999

Elisabeth retires from dancing and rejoins Christophe on the Wear Moi adventure.

2001

Wear Moi establishes itself in France. The brand is now sold in 10 countries. The schools begin to select their uniforms from Wear Moi. The notoriety of the brand takes flight.

2003

From this point forward, Wear Moi dresses dancers from head to toe thanks to its ballet shoe collection, available in canvas and leather.

2003

The style Titania becomes a signature product of the brand.

2006

Inspired by the style Jade, the leotard Galate becomes the approved uniform for schools throughout the world.

2006

Wear Moi collaborates with l’Ecole de l’Opéra de Paris for the first time. The students pose for the 2006 catalog.

Present in several countries, Wear Moi wants to also attract dancers in its own region. The Wear Moi boutique opens its doors in Toulon.

Wear Moi is sold in Bloch stores in Australia.

The style Flora launched in 2007 adds to the worldwide fame of Wear Moi.

October 2007

Christophe Ridet, Co-founder of the Wear Moi brand, receives the Exporter of the Year award from Le Nouvel Economiste. Wear Moi exports to more than 21 countries.

April 2008

Wear Moi dresses Franck Dubosc and Emmanuelle Béart for the film Disco.

2010

Creation of Wallis, the 2010 collection’s best-seller.

Wear Moi launches its online store.

After several years of product development, Wear Moi creates La Pointe by Wear Moi. To control the fabrication and the quality of these collections and offer irreproachable customer service to clients, Wear Moi opens its own factory in Tunisia.

2012

To increase its presence in the American and Canadian markets, the brand opens an office in Chicago.

La Pointe by Wear Moi appeals to more and more professional dancers like Alicia Amatriain and Anna Osadcencko (Principal Dancers Stuttgart Ballet).

Anna Osadcencko, principal ballerina for the Stuttgart Ballet, becomes Wear Moi’s new muse.

Wear Moi rethinks the dance bag with its Bag Collection. Chic and elegant bags that are the perfect accessory to your dance outfit or for around town.

Launch of the leotard Merveille. This flocked material is already the must-have of the entire dance collection.

Wear Moi reinvents the warm up: a soft and comfortable material, colors that match the leotards, mix and match leg warmers, tops, pants to create your own style.

Wear Moi becomes the official sponsor of the Chinese National Academy of Ballet.

Wear Moi changes its logo. World renowned brand Wear Moi hopes to break through language and cultural barriers. As a result, the dancer becomes the new symbol of the brand. Wear Moi exports to 62 countries.

Wear Moi, on the social media, has a daily growing number of followers (over 18000 on Facebook and over 14600 on Instagram).

Wear Moi launches a new performing website to more efficiently address increasing requests from worldwide customers.

Wear Moi is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary and to confirm its position as the leading European dancewear brand over 50 countries.

Wear Moi dresses the dancers of the French drama “Polina, danser sa vie” directed by Valérie Müller and Angelin Preljocaj.

October 2016: launch of Emma, best seller of our 2017 Ballet Ladies Collection.
